The filter cartridge in the FM-25 has a life of up to 200 gallons or 2 months, although the actual cartridge life can vary depending on water usage and conditions. While the annual costs for this unit are higher than for most other faucet-mounted filters, the benefits it provides make it a worthwhile investment.

Replacing the filter is a straightforward process. Simply unscrew the cap from underneath the housing, and the old cartridge will drop into your hand. Dispose of the old cartridge and insert a new one, turning it 2.5 full turns until it stops. Open the faucet and check for any leaks, tightening the cap if necessary. Finally, flush the new cartridge for at least 10 minutes to remove all carbon fines.

The FM-25 provides Level 3 - Advanced Filtration, reducing a variety of contaminants, including atrazine, chlorine, lindane, lead, particulates, turbidity, and bad tastes and odors. This carbon block filtration method ensures visibly clean, great-tasting water for drinking, cooking, and more.
